On Friday July 23, TONG will be releasing a free online concert in celebration of his debut album “ON”. TONG has released multiple singles since November 2020, and this online concert commemorates the full album release.
The album features collaborations with featured artists, SÆM and Paula Niehoff. The album was mixed and mastered by musician, producer, and music engineer Lukas Streich of We Will Kaleid. The visually stimulating music videos as part of the album release were directed by photographer Daniel Kallhoff.
The concert is a pre-recorded event in the style of music documentary and performance. Inspired by the Tiny Desk Concerts available on Youtube, TONG hopes to take listeners on a storytelling journey through his songwriting and the meanings behind each song. TONG combines pop and electronic music while keeping the violin in focus. Using his loop station and vocals, TONG creates a new and unusual blend of a classical instrument, electronic sounds, and alternative beats.
